Investing in Families (IIF) workshops are 2 hours in length. Workshops will cover the following topics:

  • Preparing health family meals and snacks
  • Meal planning
  • Developing basic food skills
  • Reading food labels
  • Safe food handling
  • Budgeting food selections

 



Objective:

Eating Healthy on a Budget

 

With the cost of food rising, we'll look at ways families can save on their grocery bill. We'll cover tips for meal planning at home with children, as well as, how to maximize grocery shopping while shopping at the store including the “best buys” in various foods. In this workshop, we will cover general tips to help stretch every food dollar, as well as tips to manage food waste, especially when feeding a family.
