This event will provide seniors aged 60+ with information about federal programs and benefits available through Service Canada and the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
Service Canada and CRA representatives will each deliver a 30-minute presentation, followed by a question-and-answer session. After the presentations, participants will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with representatives for assistance with benefit eligibility, applications for programs such as Old Age Security and income tax preparation.
Objective:
- Increase awareness of federal benefits and services available to seniors.
- Help seniors understand and access programs they may be eligible for.
- Provide individualized support with benefit screening and applications.
- Assist seniors with filing income tax returns to help ensure access to government benefits and credits.
