Working Women Community Centre is hosting a Refugee Process Information Session to support OW clients currently going through the Refugee process in Canada. The workshop is designed to help Refugee Claimants be prepared for the journey
Objective:
Topics covered in the presentation:
- The Refugee Process - what to expect after submitting your Refugee application
- How to prepare for a hearing - evidence gathering and who will be at the hearing
- Next steps after the hearing - managing a response from the Refugee Protection Division (RPD) of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB)
- Appeal Rights - when to file an appeal or initiate a judicial review
- Alternative Options: Pre-Removal Risk Assessment (PRRA) or applying on Humanitarian and Compassionate (H&C) grounds.
