Attwell’s W.H.Y CABR Committee in collaboration with the Client Advisory Group (CAG) Committee will be facilitating a CAG Focus Group session with clients to gain insight into the service planning challenges faced by Black male Ontario Works (OW) clients. The intent is that this insight will help to mitigate gaps in service and to develop strategies to better support the needs of this client group.
Objective:
This CAG seeks to facilitate a focus group with 25 Black male, OW clients (ages 18-29) from diverse case types, and in addition to identifying as Black, meet one or more of the following criteria:
- involved with the criminal justice system
- lived experience with the mental health system
- currently experiencing homelessness
- restricted or deferred and/or experiencing limitations to participate in employment related activities.
