Lisa Bernstein

Lisa Bernstein is the Director, External Relations at Legal Aid Ontario, where she leads strategic engagement with justice sector partners to enhance service delivery for vulnerable communities. A lawyer with over 30 years of experience, she has held senior roles in legal practice, policy development, and public sector governance. Ms. Bernstein holds degrees from Osgoode Hall Law School and Western University, and has completed executive training at the Schulich School of Business and the Canadian Management Centre. Her community involvement includes service on school councils, environmental committees, and humanitarian organizations such as Ve’ahavta and Out of the Cold. She is an active member of several professional associations and a long-time mentor to law students at the Toronto Metropolitan University. Ms. Bernstein brings a collaborative, equity-focused approach to board governance and is committed to supporting inclusive, community-based initiatives.
