Nadia Bello

Nadia Bello is an active member of the community and resident of the catchment area. She has been involved in community-based non-profit organizations as a manager, staff, volunteer and consultant for twenty years. Some of the issues and communities Nadia has worked with include creating safer schools for queer and trans youth, anti-homophobia education, increasing employment opportunities for people living with HIV/AIDS, sexual and reproductive health for women and youth in Toronto, increased LGBTQ/women/poc representation in politics, and building non-profit provider capacity to incorporate equity and diversity into programs, services and policy. She is a former elected official, serving as Trustee on the Toronto District School, representing Scarborough East from 2006-2010. Nadia is a graduate of the University of Toronto, and is a Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP) and a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP). She is a member of the Canadian Society for Training and Development and the Human Resources Professionals Association.
