Allan Penning

Allan Penning brings a life-long interest and passion for history and our built environment to the Board of Directors of Heritage Toronto – along with his 20 years of not-for-profit arts administration and fundraising experience. Currently working as Director of Development with Young People's Theatre (YPT), Allan has held senior roles with Luminato, the Toronto Festival of Art + Creativity as Senior Director of Individual and Foundation Giving, Harbourfront Centre and with The National Ballet of Canada. Prior to that, Allan lived in Montreal, setting up the public and education programmes with the Centre Canadien d’Architecture and running a small art gallery, promoting and selling contemporary and modern Canadian art.
