Community Council Decision

The Toronto and East York Community Council:

  

1. Authorized an all-way compulsory stop control at the intersection of Chisholm Avenue and Lumsden Avenue (north intersection).

 

2. Authorized an all-way compulsory stop control at the intersection of Chisholm Avenue and Lumsden Avenue (south intersection).

 

3. Authorized an all-way compulsory stop control at the intersection of Secord Avenue and Eastdale Avenue.

 

4. Authorized an all-way compulsory stop control at the intersection of Palmer Avenue and Dentonia Park Avenue.

 

5. Authorized an all-way compulsory stop control at the intersection of Dentonia Park Avenue and Maryland Boulevard.

 

6. Rescinded the existing compulsory stop control at the intersection of Dentonia Park Avenue and Avonlea Boulevard.

 

7. Authorized an all-way compulsory stop control at the intersection of Avonlea Boulevard and Dentonia Park Avenue (north intersection).

 

8. Authorized an all-way compulsory stop control at the intersection of Avonlea Boulevard and Dentonia Park Avenue (south intersection)

 

9. Authorized a compulsory stop control for northbound traffic on Sibley Avenue at Dentonia Park Avenue.

(May 24, 2023) Letter from Councillor Brad Bradford

Summary

Toronto and East York Community Council, at its meeting on February 16, 2022 adopted item TE31.95, entitled "Road Safety Improvements around Secord Elementary School" and approved the installation all-way stop controls at a number of local streets in the vicinity of Secord Elementary School. 

 

The purpose of this motion is to revise Recommendations 1 to 6, to accommodate the by-law requirements necessary to ensure the already authorized signage is enforceable.
