1. City Council deny the request for a permit to remove the privately owned black walnut tree at 24 Highgate Road.

That City Council delete the Etobicoke York Community Council Recommendation:
Recommendation to be deleted:
1. City Council grant the request for a permit to remove the privately owned black walnut tree at 24 Highgate Road, having regard that a hazardous situation exists as a result of this tree, on the condition that the owner provide at least five (5) trees as replacement, which can be achieved in a combination of on-site planting and cash-in-lieu of planting.
and adopt instead the following recommendation contained in the report (April 22, 2014 ) from the Director, Urban Forestry, Parks, Forestry and Recreation:

City Council grant the request for a permit to remove the privately owned black walnut tree at 24 Highgate Road, having regard that a hazardous situation exists as a result of this tree, on the condition that the owner provide at least five (5) trees as replacement, which can be achieved in a combination of on-site planting and cash-in-lieu of planting.
