Community Council Decision

The Toronto and East York Community Council:

 

1. Rescinded the existing one-way westbound traffic operation on Colborne Street, between Scott Street and Leader Lane.


2. Authorized the appropriate City officials to submit directly to the Toronto and East York Community Council at the appropriate time any necessary Bills to amend the appropriate City of Toronto Municipal Code Chapters to give effect to Toronto and East York Community Council’s decision, and to reinstate traffic and parking regulations referred in Recommendation 1 above, once the project is complete.

Summary

The City is reconstructing Colborne Street between Leader Lane and Church Street, Colborne Lane and Leader Lane between King Street East and Wellington Street East. The current construction time table puts the totality of the work occurring until January 2027.

 

To maintain local access and improve traffic flow during construction, staff is recommending that Colborne Street, between Scott Street and Leader Lane, be temporarily converted from a one-way westbound traffic operation to a two-way traffic operation.
