Community Council Decision
The Toronto and East York Community Council:
1. Authorized the installation of traffic calming (three speed humps) on Atlas Avenue, between Dundurn Crescent and Earlsdale Avenue, generally as shown in Attachments 2 and 3 to the letter (July 6, 2026) from Councillor Josh Matlow.

Summary
I am kindly asking for your support of my motion to authorize the installation of traffic calming (speed humps) along Atlas Avenue, between Dundurn Crescent and Earlsdale Avenue.
Residents of Atlas Avenue submitted a petition to my office requesting the installation of speed humps to help reduce speeding, discourage cut-through traffic and improve the safety of their street.
Atlas Avenue is one of the few north-south streets in the neighbourhood without speed humps, and is regularly used by commuters and trucks as a means of avoiding traffic calming on neighbouring streets and congestion on Oakwood Avenue.
With the passage of this motion, the community will receive the traffic calming measures they have been organizing for.
