Community Council Decision
The Toronto and East York Community Council:
1. Authorized the installation of traffic calming (one speed hump) on Denison Avenue, between Queen Street West and Wolseley Street, generally as shown in Attachment 2 to the letter (June 19, 2026) from Deputy Mayor Ausma Malik.

Summary
The Queen Street West BIA contacted my office to report concerns about motorists speeding as they exit the neighbourhood onto Queen Street West. In response, my office worked with City staff to assess the feasibility of implementing traffic calming measures, including speed humps, on Denison Avenue between Queen Street West and Wolseley Street. This area experiences significant pedestrian and cyclist activity due to nearby destinations such as St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, TPA Municipal Carpark Lot #106, Randy Padmore Park, local businesses along Queen Street West, and surrounding residential neighbourhoods.
