Community Council Decision
The Toronto and East York Community Council:

Origin
Summary
Greenlaw Avenue extends south from a busy section of St. Clair Avenue West and is an important connection to schools, small businesses, and parks in the area. I have heard from residents who shared that drivers too often speed along Greenlaw Avenue to avoid travelling through nearby major intersections.
This increased vehicle volume has resulted in worsening traffic safety issues for residents, including drivers who speed through stop signs and engage in aggressive driving. As many young children live and walk through this neighbourhood, there is an urgent need for traffic safety improvements to protect them and other residents.
Through a neighbourhood survey hand-delivered to homes by my office, residents voted in strong support of installing speed humps to reduce speeding and improve traffic safety on Greenlaw Avenue.
