Summary

Business owners and residents near College Street and Margueretta Street contacted my office to share concerns about parked vehicles impeding access for garbage trucks and delivery vehicles as they maneuver in and out of the area. A site visit by City of Toronto staff confirmed these issues and noted that parked vehicles are creating safety challenges and impacting traffic flow in the area.

Transportation Services supports prohibiting standing at all times on the west side of Margueretta Street, north of College Street, to resolve these issues. The proposed parking amendments will improve safety and traffic flow by providing curbside access and clearing passage for all road users.
