Summary
At its February 19, 2026 meeting, the Toronto and East York Community Council adopted the full set of staff recommendations for Item TE29.67. However, the staff recommendations were a choice between Option 1, Option 2 or Option 3. It is therefore necessary for the Toronto and East York Community Council to re-open the Item in order to clarify its decision.
This motion is urgent as Toronto Metropolitan University requires this permission to demolish 60 and 64 Dundas Street East in order to proceed with necessary work before road and construction restrictions related to the FIFA 2026 World Cup come into effect this year.
