Origin
Summary
Residents in the surrounding neighbourhood have raised ongoing concerns about road safety at the intersection of Milne Avenue and Wolcott Avenue, particularly related to driver compliance with traffic rules, right-of-way issues, and the safety of pedestrians navigating the intersection. The area is close to vulnerable populations, including seniors, children, and families, making safety especially important.
Through consultation my office, residents have expressed support for stronger traffic safety measures at this intersection. The installation of all-way compulsory stop controls is intended to improve driver compliance, clarify right-of-way, and enhance safety for pedestrians and other vulnerable road users.
