1. Refused to grant an exemption to Chapter 447, Fences, to the property owner of 124 Pegasus Trail, for the existing fence described in the Summary of the report (April 27, 2026) from the Acting District Manager, Municipal Licensing and Standards, East District.

Summary

The owner of 124 Pegasus Trail has applied to Scarborough Community Council for a site-specific exemption from the requirements of City of Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 447, Section 1.2B(1) – Restrictions on Fences; Height.

 

The existing fence located in the front yard, within 2.4 metres of the lot line abutting a public highway, measures approximately 2.2 metres and 2.03 metres in height, which exceeds the maximum permitted height of 1.2 metres under Chapter 447.

 

Municipal Licensing and Standards Division inspected the subject property and issued a Notice of Violation respecting non-compliance with City of Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 447, Section 1.2B(1).
