Community Council Decision

The Scarborough Community Council:

 

1. Referred the item to the Director, Enforcement and Street Management, Transportation Services and requested a report back on Poplar Road - Traffic Calming after the Metrolinx work to install a pedestrian tunnel at the CN Rail and Poplar Road interstation is completed and permanent closure of Poplar Road at CN Rail is enforced.

Summary

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision.

 

Transportation Services is recommending the installation of speed humps on Poplar Road, between Cumber Avenue/Dearham Wood and Kingston Road. Staff's assessment indicates the criteria as set out in the updated Traffic Calming Policy has been satisfied. Therefore, speed humps should be installed on Poplar Road.
