Board Decision
The Board of Directors, CreateTO:
1. Directed the Chief Executive Officer, CreateTO, in consultation with the Executive Director, Development Review, the General Manager, Parks and Recreation, the Executive Director, Social Development, the Executive Director, Corporate Real Estate Management, the Executive Director, Housing Development Office, the City Librarian, Toronto Public Library, and other relevant City divisions and agencies, to continue advancing the development work for the revitalization of 707 Dundas Street West, known as Scadding Court Community Centre, and 327 Bathurst Street, known as Sanderson Library, throughout 2026.
2. Directed the Chief Executive Officer, CreateTO, to report back to the CreateTO Board in the first quarter of 2027 on the development work for the revitalization of 707 Dundas Street West, known as Scadding Court Community Centre, and 327 Bathurst Street, on the following items:
a. a preferred development concept and site program that incorporates affordable housing into the redevelopment;
b. a recommended approvals path and timing for a future Zoning By-Law Amendment application for the revitalization of the entire site, with the application to be submitted no later than the third quarter of 2027;
c. a proposed internal and external stakeholder consultation plan, including timelines;
d. any potential interim opportunities to enhance the facilities of Scadding Court Community Centre and Sanderson Library; and
e. a preliminary budget, funding and implementation considerations required to advance the project.
