Summary

Following increasing concerns in the community of high vehicle speeds, and both pedestrian and cyclist safety, Transportation Services developed The Bathurst Manor Neighbourhood Mobility Plan, a comprehensive study of traffic behaviours and travel patterns in the Bathurst Manor Neighbourhood.

As part of the Bathurst Manor Neighbourhood Mobility Plan, Transportation Services recommended the installation of speed humps on Hove Street as part of the May Update.

Since the installation of speed humps on surrounding streets, the Councillor’s Office has received an increase of concerns from residents regarding speeding on Hove Street, including concerns that Hove Street’s use as a bypass route to avoid the traffic calming measures on surrounding streets.
