Origin
Summary
My office has received communications from residents expressing concerns regarding traffic congestion and safety around the area of Bathurst Street and Cortleigh Boulevard. The existing three-hour parking limit in front of the daycare results in long-term parking that significantly limits drop-off and pick-up activity. Prohibiting parking in this area to facilitate a kiss and ride would increase drop-off and pick-up capacity. The proposed one-hour limit, east of the daycare will provide short-term parking for parents. The proposed stopping prohibition opposite the daycare and the proposed parking prohibition in front of Cortleigh Parkette will promote safe and efficient two-way traffic.
