1. Prohibited parking at all times on the south and west side of Lescon Road, between a point 96 metres north of Trailside Drive and a point 36 metres further north and west.

Summary

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision.

 

Transportation Services is recommending that parking be prohibited at all times on the south and west sides of Lescon Road, between a point 96 metres north of Trailside Drive and a point 36 metres north-west. Currently parking is allowed for the unsigned statutory three-hour maximum limit on both sides Lescon Road. The proposed change will provide adequate visibility through a curved section of Lescon Road where there is a school crossing.

Financial Impact

The signage costs associated with the proposed amendments are approximately $500. Funding is available within the Transportation Services 2026 Operating Budget.
