Summary

Last year, my office received an initiative with strong support from residents of Rawlinson Avenue, between Eglinton Avenue and Broadway Avenue, for the implementation of on-street permit parking.

Due to the special circumstances of a long-term polling pause, combined with strong petition support, City Council, at its meeting of February 4-5, 2026, approved item NY29.3, regarding an exemption for the implementation of permit parking on Rawlinson Avenue from Eglinton Avenue East to Broadway Avenue, from the polling requirements of subsection 925-4B of City of Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 925, Permit Parking.

In response to the residents’ initiative, I am now moving the implementation of a Permit Parking Area, based on the attached map, created by Transportation Services, reflecting the residents’ initiative.
