North York Community Council:

 

1. Referred item NY31.1 - Burbank Drive - Traffic Calming (Speed Humps) to staff and requested the Director, Enforcement and Street Management, Transportation Services, to report back in the first quarter of 2027 with:


a. The results of a new traffic study on Burbank Drive, between Sheppard Avenue East and Forest Grove Drive, conducted after all 30 kilometres per hour signage has been installed; and


b. A summary of feedback from consultation with the community and local Ward Councillor.

Summary

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision.

 

Transportation Services is recommending the installation of speed humps on Burbank Drive, between Sheppard Avenue East and Forest Grove Drive. Staff's assessment indicates the criteria as set out in the Traffic Calming Policy has been satisfied. Therefore, speed humps OR speed cushions should be installed on Burbank Drive.
