Recommendations
Councillor James Pasternak, seconded by Councillor Vincent Crisanti, recommends that:
1. City Council request the Chief Planner and Executive Director, City Planning, as part of the forthcoming Multiplex Monitoring Program report to Council, to include a review of the design of recently constructed multiplexes and to consider measures to encourage well-designed and contextually-appropriate multiplexes.

Motions (City Council)
That:
1. City Council amend the recommendation by:
a. adding the words "in consultation with the Chief Building Official and Executive Director, Toronto Building" after the words City Planning";
b. adding the word "planning" after the words "a review of the"; and
c. adding the words "and construction" after the word "design";
so that it now reads as follows:
1. City Council request the Chief Planner and Executive Director, City Planning, in consultation with the Chief Building Official and Executive Director, Toronto Building, as part of the forthcoming Multiplex Monitoring Program report to Council, to include a review of the planning design and construction of recently constructed multiplexes and to consider measures to encourage well-designed and contextually-appropriate multiplexes.
Speaker Nunziata advised Council that the provisions of Chapter 27, Council Procedures, require that Motion MM39.13 be referred to the Planning and Housing Committee. A two-thirds vote of the Council Members present is required to waive referral.
