Community Council Decision

The Etobicoke York Community Council:

1. Authorized the installation of traffic calming (4 speed humps) on Dalesford Road, between Wesley Street and Grand Avenue, generally as shown in Attachment 1, Drawing No. TC-691 to the report (June 18, 2026) from the Director, Enforcement and Street Management, Transportation Services.

2. Authorized the installation of traffic calming (1 speed hump) on Mendota Road, between Wesley Street and Gala Lane (east intersection), generally as shown in Attachment 2, Drawing No. TC-690 to the report (June 18, 2026) from the Director, Enforcement and Street Management, Transportation Services.

3. Authorized the installation of traffic calming (3 speed humps) on Wesley Street, between The Queensway and Mendota Road, generally as shown in Attachment 3, Drawing No. TC-692 to the report (June 18, 2026) from the Director, Enforcement and Street Management, Transportation Services.

Summary

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision.

Transportation Services is recommending the installation of speed humps on:

- Dalesford Road between Wesley Street and Grand Avenue

- Mendota Road between Wesley Street and Gala Lane

- Wesley Street between The Queensway and Mendota Road

Staff's assessment indicates the criteria as set out in the Traffic Calming Policy has been satisfied. Therefore, speed humps are recommended to be installed on Dalesford Road, Mendota Road and Wesley Street.
