The Executive Committee:

 

1. Referred Item EX29.8 to the Executive Director, FIFA World Cup 2026, Toronto Secretariat, to consider as part of their report to the March 30, 2026 meeting of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Subcommittee on transportation planning for the FIFA World Cup in Toronto and requested the Executive Director, FIFA World Cup 2026, Toronto Secretariat, in consultation with the General Manager, Transportation Services, to include the following in the FIFA Traffic Management Plan:


a. measures to manage street parking;


b. measures to promote and facilitate the use of public transit, both for people attending a match and regular commuters on match days;


c. measures to manage overlapping major events; and


d. measures to manage traffic in communities when we are aware of special events being held on match days, or when we can anticipate increased local interest in specific games, including during matches that are taking place in other host cities.

That the Executive Committee amend motion 1 by Deputy Mayor Malik so that it now reads:

 

1. Executive Committee refer the Item to the Executive Director, FIFA World Cup 2026, Toronto Secretariat, to consider as part of their report to the March 30, 2026 meeting of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Subcommittee on transportation planning for the FIFA World Cup in Toronto and request the Executive Director, FIFA World Cup 2026, Toronto Secretariat, in consultation with the General Manager, Transportation Services, to include the following in the FIFA Traffic Management Plan:
