The Board of Governors of Exhibition Place:

1. Approved the award of Contract No. 87403-26 (RFT No. EP107-2026) to Ainsworth Inc. for the security system upgrades grounds-wide at Exhibition Place in the amount of $10,084,218.70 which includes an additional price of $49,803.76 and a cash allowance of $200,000.00 but excludes HST; this being the lowest compliant tender submission received following the public tendering of the project.

This report recommends approving a contract with Ainsworth Inc. ("Ainsworth") of Toronto, Ontario for the security system upgrades grounds-wide project. The tender for this contract was issued on May 7, 2026, through Exhibition Place Purchasing and Materials Stores via the Bonfire Online Procurement System, and the recommendation is to award the contract to the lowest compliant bidder meeting tender requirements and specifications within the available budget.

This critical project of upgrading the entire Exhibition Place security system including CCTV cameras, card access and their associated infrastructure is time sensitive because existing system needs significant upgrades and maintenance is not viable. Deferring the upgrades risks potential exposure to security and safety vulnerabilities.
