City Council on July 29 and 30, 2026, adopted the following:

1. City Council appoint Sharmila M. Clark to the position of City Solicitor on an interim basis effective September 8, 2026, until such time a permanent City Solicitor for the City of Toronto is appointed.

2. City Council authorize the public release of the name and curriculum vitae summary of the Interim City Solicitor in Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (July 22, 2026) from the City Manager.
