Community Council Decision

The Toronto and East York Community Council:

1. Authorized an all-way compulsory stop control at the intersection of Soudan Avenue and Lillian Street.

Origin

(November 25, 2025) Letter from Councillor Josh Matlow

Summary

I am kindly asking for your support of my motion to authorize an all-way compulsory stop control at the intersection of Soudan Avenue and Lillian Street.

There is sustained concern from residents regarding excessive speeding along Soudan Avenue and lack of compliance with the existing one-way designation on Lillian St, leading to unsafe conditions at this intersection and along Lillian St. I am confident that the installation of an all-way stop at this location will improve the safety of this intersection.
