The Toronto and East York Community Council:

1.  Rescinded the existing maximum one-hour parking regulation in effect at all times on the west side of Concord Avenue, between Dupont Street and a point 61 metres south.

2.  Authorized maximum one-hour parking to be in effect from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, from the 1st day to the 15th day of each month, inclusive, from April 1 to November 30, inclusive, and from December 1 of one year to March 30 of the next following year, inclusive, on the east side of Concord Avenue, between the first lane south of Dupont Street and Hallam Street.

3.  Authorized maximum one-hour parking to be in effect from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, from the 16th day to the last day of each month, inclusive, from April 1 to November 30, inclusive, on the west side of Concord Avenue, between Dupont Street and Hallam Street.

Residents on Concord Avenue, between Dupont Street and Hallam Street, have shared their frustration regarding the lack of available parking spaces on their street. This section of Concord Avenue is located near numerous busy businesses, resulting in visitors often leaving their vehicles parked for many hours of the day. The lack of available parking spaces has created challenges for visitors to the area and for residents hoping to find a parking spot on their trip back home at the end of the day.

Through a neighbourhood-led petition, residents on this part of Concord Avenue confirmed their support for reducing the maximum parking time from 3 hours to 1 hour during non-permit parking times. This parking amendment will not only support turnover for visitors parking in the area but also preserve parking spaces for residents trying to locate a spot.
