Summary

At the request of the Eglinton Way BIA and local businesses, I am introducing a minor adjustment to the parking and loading arrangement on Eglinton Avenue West and Tarlton Road to increase the number of paid parking spots on Eglinton Avenue and provide more direct access for Wheel-Trans customers to a highly frequented medical facility. As such, the current accessible loading area in front of 453 Eglinton Avenue West will be relocated around the corner to Tarlton Rd just south of Eglinton making it closer to the entrance of the Forest Hill Medical and Professional Building at 491 Eglinton Avenue West, and providing 3 additional paid parking spaces on Eglinton Avenue West.

The required bylaw changes on Eglinton Avenue West to this effect were updated as part of the EglintonTOday bylaw submission 2024.IE13.2 – 76-2025 in February 2025. This letter adds the necessary changes to Tarlton Rd which were beyond the delegated authority of the EglintonTOday Complete Street project.

This change has been developed in coordination with Wheel-Trans, Toronto Parking Authority, The Eglinton Way BIA and the EglintonTOday Complete Street project team.
