The Toronto and East York Community Council:

1.  Rescinded the parking prohibition in effect at all times on the west side of Jarvis Street, between The Esplanade and a point 61 metres north of Queen Street East.

2. Rescinded the stopping prohibition in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, except public holidays, on the west side of Jarvis Street, between Front Street East and a point 77 metres south of Dundas Street East.

3.  Prohibited parking at all times on the west side of Lower Jarvis Street, between The Esplanade and Front Street East.

4.  Prohibited parking at all times on the west side of Jarvis Street, between King Street East and a point 61 metres north of Queen Street East.

5.  Prohibited stopping at all times on the west side of Jarvis Street, between Front Street East and King Street East.

6.  Prohibited stopping from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, except public holidays, on the west side of Jarvis Street, between King Street East and a point 77 metres south of Dundas Street East.

I’m writing to request support to shift from the current "No Stopping 7:30-9:30 AM and 3:30-6:30 PM" to a more effective "No Stopping Anytime" along Lower Jarvis and Jarvis Street, South of Queen. This change aims to deter illegal parking and enhance traffic flow.

Moreover, with the imminent completion of St. Lawrence Market North, we anticipate increased pedestrian and vehicular traffic. By ensuring smoother traffic flow on the ground level and directing parking to the future Green P Parking garage to the north, we can keep traffic along Jarvis and Lower Jarvis flowing smoothly and safely.
