Summary

The purpose of this motion is to request a temporary closure of Dowry Street.

A permanent road closure by Metrolinx was approved in 2018, Agenda Item History - 2018.SC32.40, while Metrolinx completes the work necessary for the permanent closure, the community has requested I expediate a temporary closure of Dowry Street until the permanent closure by Metrolinx is completed.

Currently, vehicles are using this dead-end portion of Dowry Street to drop off and pick up GO passengers, causing traffic chaos and creating unsafe conditions for vulnerable road users accessing Agincourt GO.
