The Scarborough Community Council:

1. Rescinded the existing school bus loading zone in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., on the north side of Corvette Avenue, between a point 60 metres east of Eppleworth Road and a point 79 metres further east.

2. Rescinded the existing maximum 30-minute parking regulation in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, on the east side of Eppleworth Road, between a point 79 metres north Corvette Avenue and a point 41 metres further north.

3. Rescinded the existing maximum 30-minute parking regulation in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, on the east side of Eppleworth Road, between Corvette Avenue and a point 57 metres north.

4. Rescinded the parking prohibition in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, on the east side of Eppleworth Road, between a point 57 metres north of Corvette Avenue and a point 22 metres further north.

5. Designated a school bus loading zone to be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, on the east side Eppleworth Road, between a point 55 metres north of Corvette Avenue and a point 65 metres further north.

6. Authorized parking for a maximum period of 10 minutes from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, on the east side Eppleworth Road, between a point 15 metres north of Corvette Avenue and a point 40 metres further north.

7. Rescinded the existing parking prohibition in effect at all times on the west side of Eppleworth Road, between the north end of Eppleworth Road and a point 20 metres further south. 

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision.

Transportation Services is recommending that the existing School Bus Loading Zone, designated for Corvette Junior Public School, on the north side of Corvette Avenue, be relocated to Eppleworth Road to facilitate safer pick-up and drop-off activities for the students.

During the course of the investigation, it was noted that there is a discrepancy between posted signs and the existing parking regulations. Recommendation 7 will correct this inconsistency.
