Summary

The proposed motion responds to longstanding concerns raised by local residents, businesses, and Parking Enforcement regarding ongoing congestion and safety issues on Raleigh Avenue and Moira Avenue. Redevelopment on the south side of Raleigh Avenue has changed driveway access points, intensifying conflicts with illegal parking and obstructing the safe movement of large vehicles. Residents and business owners have reported persistent visibility issues and traffic bottlenecks. Transportation Services has reviewed the area and supports the proposed amendments to existing parking regulations. These changes aim to enhance safety, improve traffic flow, and address long-standing access concerns in the area.
