The Scarborough Community Council:
1. Reduced the speed limit from 50 km/h to 40 km/h on East Avenue, between Lawrence Avenue East and East Willow Gate/Mastwood Crescent (south intersection).

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision.
Transportation Services is recommending a speed limit reduction on East Avenue, between Lawrence Avenue East and East Willow Gate/Mastwood Crescent (south intersection), from 50 km/h to 40 km/h. This regulation has already been signed in the field, however, the by-laws were not updated from the former City of Scarborough during the harmonization that occurred due to amalgamation in 1998. This report will correct this longstanding oversight and ensure the by-laws are aligned with the posted 40 km/h speed limit signage.
