a - Review Order Paper

July 23, 2025 at 10:33 a.m. - Speaker Nunziata advised Council of the following:

 

Members, I will now review the Order Paper. Once the Order Paper has been approved by Council, any change will need a two‑thirds vote.

 

The City Clerk has posted today's Order Paper online, with agenda item RM32.7 – Review of the Order Paper. If Council adopts any amendments to the Order Paper, they will also be posted with this item.

 

We have two deferred items before us today: Items NY24.4 and DM32.1.

 

The Mayor has designated Item EX25.4, “RapidTO: Transit Priority on Dufferin Street and Bathurst Street” as her first Key Matter and first item of business today. 

 

The Mayor has designated Item PH23.3, “Advancing Six Sites for the Homelessness Services Capital Infrastructure Strategy” as her second Key Matter and first item of business tomorrow. 

 

The Notice of Motion run through is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. tomorrow, only if the Mayor’s Key Matters are completed.

 

Members, there are some related matters on the agenda that I propose be considered together if they are held:

 

- Items EX25.5 and AU9.6, relating to the winter maintenance program.

b - Review Order Paper

July 24, 2025 at 9:55 a.m. - Speaker Nunziata advised Council of the following:

 

Members, we will now review and confirm the Order Paper. Once the Order Paper has been approved by Council, any change will need a two thirds vote.

 

The City Clerk has posted today's Order Paper online, with agenda item RM32.7, Review of the Order Paper.

 

There are 84 Items left on the agenda, including 44 Member Motions. The Mayor has timed Item PH23.3 headed “Advancing Six Sites for the Homelessness Services Capital Infrastructure Strategy - City-Initiated Official Plan Amendment and Six Zoning By-law Amendments - Decision Report - Approval” as the first item of business this morning.

 

Council has timed Item EX25.31 headed “A Better Way to Replace your Furnace: Helping Homeowners Switch to Heat Pumps” as the second item of business this morning.

 

This is to be followed by the “bundled” items on housing delivery: EX25.1,  PH23.5, PH23.6, and MM32.5. And that is to be followed by Item NY25.4, 123 Garratt Boulevard (Taxiway West District) - Zoning By-law Amendment - Decision Report – Approval.

 

When we recessed yesterday, Council was considering the winter maintenance items, Item EX25.5 and AU9.6.

 

Members, I propose that once we finish the Mayor’s Key Matter, we proceed with our timed items for today, before returning to the winter maintenance items.
