Motions (City Council)

a - Review Order Paper

May 21, 2025, at 10:12 a.m. - Speaker Nunziata advised Council of the following:

Members, I will now review the Order Paper. Once the Order Paper has been approved by Council, any change will need a two‑thirds vote.

The City Clerk has posted today's Order Paper online, with agenda item RM30.7 – Review of the Order Paper. If Council adopts any amendments to the Order Paper, they will also be posted with this item.

We have two deferred items before us today: Items SC21.1 and DM30.1.

The Mayor has designated Item CC30.3 headed “Ombudsman Toronto Report: An Investigation into the City’s Response to a Vital Services Outage in a Multi-Tenant Home” as her first Key Matter and first item of business today.

The Mayor has designated Item EX23.4 headed “Management Update: Auditor General Recommendations on 9-1-1 Operations and Responses to Calls for Service by the Toronto Police Service” as her second Key Matter and second item of business today.

Members, with the Mayor's consent I would propose that the Mayor's second key matter be considered together with Item EX23.5 - " 2025 Update on SafeTO Implementation" as they both relate to community safety and were considered together by the Executive Committee.

The Mayor gave her consent to join the items.

The Notice of Motion run through is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. tomorrow, only if the Mayor’s Key Matters are completed.

Members, there are some related matters on the agenda that I propose be considered together if they are held:

Items NY23.7 and MM30.16 relating to the Marlee-Glencairn study, if Council votes to waive referral on the Member Motion.
