The Board of Directors of CreateTO:

 

1. Directed the Chief Executive Officer, CreateTO, together with relevant City staff, to explore and propose the repurposing of City-owned lands in the Liberty Village area for community services and facilities, which may include, a community recreation centre, a public library, a public school and/or a community hub, among other community uses, as part of the Liberty Village Regeneration Area Study.

Summary

City Council on March 26 and 27, 2025, adopted Item TE20.5 and, in so doing, has requested the Board of Directors of CreateTO to direct the Chief Executive Officer, CreateTO, together with relevant City staff, to explore and propose the repurposing of City-owned lands in the Liberty Village area for community services and facilities, which may include, a community recreation centre, a public library, a public school and/or a community hub, among other community uses, as part of the Liberty Village Regeneration Area Study.
