City Council Decision

City Council on March 26 and 27, 2025, adopted the following:

 

1. City Council authorize the Indigenous People Garden Incorporated to lock the gates to the Indigenous Botanical Garden at Paul Martel Park between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., and direct the General Manager, Parks and Recreation, to install lockable gates on the two openings in the fence.

Speaker Nunziata advised Council that the provisions of Chapter 27, Council Procedures, require that Motion MM28.30 be referred to the Infrastructure and Environment Committee. A two-thirds vote of the Council Members present is required to waive referral.

That City Council amend the Recommendation by adding the words "and direct the General Manager, Parks and Recreation, to install lockable gates on the two openings in the fence", so that it now reads as follows:

 

1. City Council authorize the Indigenous People Garden Incorporated to lock the gates to the Indigenous Botanical Garden at Paul Martel Park between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., and direct the General Manager, Parks and Recreation, to install lockable gates on the two openings in the fence.
