Committee Decision
The Toronto Music Advisory Committee:
1. Requested the General Manager, Economic Development and Culture to consult with the Executive Director, Municipal Licensing and Standards, and the Chief Planner and Executive Director, City Planning, and bring forward an update at the December 1, 2025 meeting on:
- clarifying zoning and licensing definitions for venues presenting live music, including DJs; and,
- aligning communications and outreach to bars, restaurants, and entertainment venues, including live music venues, with the collaborative approach to businesses presented by City staff during the Night Economy Review Consultations and Town Hall in 2024.
