Summary

At our meeting on October 28, 2024 Etobicoke York Community Council adopted
Item EY17.17, titled "Windsor Street and Buckingham Street – Pay-and-Display Parking", which
introduced paid parking to accommodate overflow from the Mimico GO Station parking lot.

The current pay-and-display parking configuration has unintentionally impacted the operations
of businesses on Windsor Street by limiting access to essential loading areas. Adjusting the
parking regulations will help balance the need for public parking with the operational
requirements of local businesses.
