Community Council Decision

The Etobicoke York Community Council:

 

1. Prohibited parking at all times on the north side of Ambleside Avenue, between Aberlady Road and a point 20 metres east.

 

2. Authorized parking for a maximum period of 10 minutes from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, on the north side of Ambleside Avenue, between a point 20 metres east of Aberlady Road and a point 80 metres further east.

 

3. Prohibited parking from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday on the north side of Ambleside Avenue, between a point 100 metres east of Aberlady Road and Chartwell Road.

 

4. Prohibited stopping from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday on the south side of Ambleside Avenue, between Chartwell Road and a point 186 metres west.

 

5. Prohibited parking from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday on the west side of Chartwell Road, between Ambleside Avenue and a point 30 metres north.

 

6. Prohibited parking form 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday on the west side of Chartwell Road, between a point 60 metres north of Ambleside Avenue and a point 55 metres further north.

 

7. Authorized parking for a maximum period of 10 minutes from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, on the west side of Chartwell Road, between a point 115 metres north of Ambleside Avenue and a point 65 metres further north.

 

8. Prohibited stopping from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday on the east side of Chartwell Road, between Ambleside Avenue and a point 97 metres north of Castlebar Road.

Summary

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision.

 

Transportation Services is recommending implementing parking regulations on Ambleside Avenue and Chartwell Road, in the area near Castlebar Junior School to provide areas for short term parking for parents/guardians to accompany students to and from the school, improve safety and reduce congestion in the area by prohibiting stopping opposite the school.
