Community Council Decision

The Etobicoke York Community Council:

 

1. Rescinded the existing on-street accessible parking space on the east side of Handel Street, between a point 11.3 metres south of Haney Avenue and a point 6.2 metres further south

 

2. Designated an on-street accessible loading zone to operate at all times on the east side of Handel Street, between a point 9 metres south of Haney Avenue and a point 8.5 metres further south.

Summary

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision.

 

Transportation Services is recommending the conversion of the existing on-street accessible parking space to an on-street accessible loading zone on the east side of Handel Street, south of Haney Avenue. The on-street accessible loading zone will provide unimpeded curbside access to the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) Wheel-Trans service for a resident of Handel Street.
