Community Council Decision
The Toronto and East York Community Council:
1. Authorized the installation of traffic calming (speed humps) on Devonshire Place, between Bloor Street West and Hoskin Avenue.
2. Directed the City Solicitor to prepare a By-law to alter the roadway to install five speed humps on Devonshire Place, between Bloor Street West and Hoskin Avenue, generally as shown on Attachment 1 to the letter (November 25, 2024) from Councillor Dianne Saxe.

Summary
The purpose of this letter is to seek Toronto and East York Community Council approval for the installation of traffic calming measures (speed humps) on Devonshire Place, between Bloor Street West and Hoskin Avenue. The speed humps are intended to slow vehicles down on Devonshire Place where there is heavy pedestrian traffic generated by University of Toronto as well as other learning institutions in the area, and have been requested by the University.
