Community Council Decision

The Toronto and East York Community Council:

 

1. Authorized parking by permit only on an area basis, from 12:01 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. daily on the even (west) side of Newman Avenue between Secord Avenue and Goodwood Park Crescent, within Area 9A.

 

2. Rescinded the existing parking prohibition in effect at all times during the months of May, July, September and November on the east side of Newman Avenue, between Secord Avenue and Goodwood Park Crescent.

 

3. Rescinded the existing parking prohibition in effect at all times during the months of January, February, March, April, June, August, October and December, on the west side of Newman Avenue, between Secord Avenue and Goodwood Park Crescent.

 

4. Prohibited parking at all times on the odd (east) side of Newman Avenue, between Secord Avenue and Goodwood Park Crescent.

Summary

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision.

 

Transportation Services is recommending that overnight on-street permit parking be introduced on Newman Avenue between Secord Avenue and Goodwood Park Crescent from 12:01 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., within permit Area 9A.

 

Residents requested the implementation of overnight on-street permit parking on Newman Avenue to accommodate their long-term parking needs.
