Summary

The residents of Lewis St and Saulter St are, over the coming months, going to see a major change with two major developments set to be considered by the Province in the immediate area.

One is the development known as 21 Broadview Ave, which has been appealed by the developer to the Ontario Land Tribunal.

The other is the Eastern Avenue Transit Oriented Community (TOC), which sits at the bottom of Saulter St and Lewis Street, having been purchased by Metrolinx for Ontario Line construction and will be turned over to Infrastructure Ontario subsequently. This site is likely to be approved through an Ministerial Zoning Order.

The residents of Saulter St and Lewis St continue to seek clarity from each developer, particularly with relation to the transition from the developments to the local neighbourhood, and on the provision of parkland and greenspace.
