The Toronto and East York Community Council:

1.  Amended the existing school bus loading zone in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., on the north side of Torrens Avenue, between a point 85 metres east of Pape Avenue and a point 127 metres east of Pape Avenue, to be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, from September 1 of one year to June 30 of the next following year, inclusive, except public holidays.

2.  Amended the existing no parking regulation in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except Saturday and Sunday and school holidays, on the north side of Torrens Avenue between Pape Avenue and a point 30 metres east of Pape Avenue to be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, from September 1 of one year to June 30 of the next following year, inclusive, except public holidays.

3.  Amended the existing no parking regulation in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, except school holidays, on the north side of Torrens Avenue between a point 30 metres east of Pape Avenue and a point 85 metres east of Pape Avenue to be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, from September 1 of one year to June 30 of the next following year, inclusive, except public holidays.

Torrens Avenue is a local road, south of William Burgess Elementary School and east of Pape Avenue. Residents have received tickets for parking in the school bus loading zone on weekends and holidays. The principal and TDSB trustee are not aware of programming on weekends that would require school buses utilizing the loading zone. Amending the school bus loading zone to the school calendar would allow residents to utilize their street for parking.
