Community Council Decision
The Scarborough Community Council:
1. Requested the Director, Traffic Management, to undertake a school safety zone review on East Avenue, fronting William G. Davis Junior Public School, and report back to Scarborough Community Council with the review findings and recommendations early in the second quarter of 2025.

Summary
Concerns have been raised to my office by residents in the West Rouge community about speeding and road safety on East Avenue, particularly by concerned parents of children attending William G Davis Junior Public School.
In response to these safety concerns raised by residents, I am requesting that Transportation Services undertake a school safety zone review on East Avenue.
I ask that staff report back with additional measures, that can improve safety for residents and school children, aligned with the principles of the Vision Zero Road Safety Plan.
